I have a BJG that had a nasty wound on her side. a cockerel had been after her... then the head hen would jump on her too.. not sure who did the most damage to her...She is healed up now several months later and has a hard ridge on her side.. like a rib out of place.. she has been laying through it all.
Currently I lock her in a dog cage in the bachelor pad at night and kick the boys out and leave her locked in the coop during the day...one day when I have a chance I'll try reintroducing her to a flock.. maybe when the new pullets start mating and have the roos attention
