Since there isn't a roo involved, she could sit on the eggs for years and nothing will happen. I think it's my fault it happened, I got lazy and didn't pick up the eggs right away once or twice so there was a about 5 in the nest box for a day. Gah. She's got a filthy temper and won't let me near the nest box now. Wow. She pecked the crap out of my shoe. I'm glad it wasn't my hand. The other 2 girls will have to find another spot to lay. Even thought that's not the only box, it's the favorite of all 3 of them.

What do I do now? Will she eventually go UN broody? Will she figure out that it's pretty pointless to be sitting on them when they aren't going to hatch?

I was going to post the same thing. She's been broody now for WEEKS. yesterday she pecked at me and drew blood. we have tried locking her out of the coop, putting ice in her nest, neither worked. she was so unhappy when she couldn't get into the coop, Didn't seem to even notice the ice. tried ice packs, ice cubes. she barely eats. what to do?

You can break her, or you can give her chicks to raise if you can find day old chicks. (and assuming you want more chickens) And you didn't cause it by not collecting the eggs. It's a hormonal change and they will sit on air and still be broody.
