I will try, but don't have a cell phone. I can borrow someone's; it's worth the effort to just hear that trumpet blast, LOL.
No pause? What kind of lung capacity does that girl have! Hahaha. Mine is SO LOUD I think she pauses just because she has to refill her lungs. Too bad the roo didn't crow for comparison; he's barely audible when I am in the back field, but her trumpet blasts come through very clearly. My hen makes that noise when she's separated from her friends, or when she's hungry/thirsty, or wants to be let outside to free range. The only difference is she doesn't pause between the trumpets
Wow, I didn't even consider that I might have the first goat/chicken chimera. HAHAHAAre you sure that isn’t a kid (the goat kind)? maybe She’s half parrot and learned the goat ‘baaaa’.
I checked her beak and felt her throat for any type of anomaly, but nothing felt or looked abnormal. I doubt anything is stuck in there because this has been going on for weeks, almost 2 months actually. And, she trumpets, takes a few bites of grass, trumpets, walks a bit, eats some more, trumpets, and goes gets a drink... She does it mostly after breakfast (morning feeding) until around 2 pm. Then, she is normal as can be except for that pale comb. It's so hot right now, and she doesn't even pant.Never heard a hen making noises like this. Almost sounds as if strangled and calling for help!
Did you check her beak and throat? Maybe something got stuck.
She might even suffer from some kind of hormonal imbalance (pale comb etc.).
