Hen with a lot of dry skin on her face?

I have a new dutch bantam that I think is young, one side of its face is far whiter and rougher that the other. What is it?

To be honest, I can't tell.
A close up photo may help.

Check her over for any signs of lice/mites and treat them if she has any.

If she is very young, it could be keratin that you are seeing while she is still feathering in.

Does she have trouble eating with the curve in her beak?

Almost sounds like lice too me?

Look for lice....I would!
Also put a big rock in your run so she and the others can hone their beaks...Way too long....
