Its not near the vent at all its closer to the thigh

She was in the nest box like she has to lay

It doesn’t look like it is going to rupture right away. Watch to make sure the others don’t peck at it. Does it show if she just is walking around?

Ok we took her to the vet this Saturday. Our vet specializes in chickens and other poultry so we trust him a lot. He said it’s probably not a tumor as those are usually internal with chickens and too deep to be an infected feather follicle. We are scheduled for surgery soon
and will biopsy it so we will let you all know.
