My hen is about a year and a half and we noticed a slight nose bleed! Nothing major like long drippings but we noticed dried blood by the base of her left nostril.

She’s a buff Orpington and the weather has dropped to the 30s but during the summer it’s usually 110.

Is it something to do with the weather or something seriously wrong and we need to take her to a vet immediately?!

She’s also eating still as well but unsure about the water. We drenched her just in case of some sort of vitamin deficiency.

She may have been pecked, or she could have scraped it- either with her nail or on something. I have had some chicken noses bleed before. I say if she isn’t acting weird, and it doesn’t happen again, then she should be fine.

I have a hen who used to have a few nosebleeds. Her sister was broody, so she probably pecked her when she went near her sister's nest.
I wouldn't worry about it, my girl is perfectly fine now
