Hen with sticky saliva on/in beak

My baby chick about 4 weeks old has been healthy. I’ve had a few chicks so far die and they all had the slime open mouth. They are very inactive and seem to want to cuddle others that are running and playing in the brooder. If I rubbed the chicks chest it opens its mouth showing the tongue. I feel like it’s spreading or I’m doing something wrong!
Edit: they seemed to be healthy for all this time and one by one they start doing this.

When my girl had the sticky slimmy mouth I thought she was in her way out but she responded immediately to tylan antibiotics.
What would be causing the slimey mouth? And Do young chicks kill eachother and fight till the death? That was the craziest thing seeing that chick trampled

I have had birds that have tried to what looks like kill a bird who was sickly. It must just be in their instincts to kill the weak. Maybe it helps stop the spread of infection? 🤷🏼‍♀️ But yes I always have to separate the weak and sick otherwise they get picked on in a major way. I’m assuming the sticky beak slim stuff was some sort of Bacterial infection since it responded to antibiotics.

Same symptoms here
1 - sticky saliva
2 - Impacted crop.
3 - watery and sometimes sticky stool.
4 - foul breath smell (Due to Impacted crop)
5- Lethargic (sits in one place with closed eyes)
6- the affected bird eats and drinks but on the 3rd or 4th day its condition gets worse and it dies.
A 2 months old chick died yesterday and my favourite hen died today.
I did a necropsy on both and found no worms in the crop or in the remaining digestive system.
All organs seemed normal.
A four month old chick is showing the same symptoms but I also noticed bloody stool with this one which is a symptom of coccidiosis.

Whatever this disease is it seems it affects the immune system which permits usually non fatal bacteria and viruses to become fatal.

Below pictures of recently affected chick.
I didn't take pictures of the bloody stool.
Her most recent poop was watery.
I put antibiotics and sugar in her water and will see what happens.
