I believe it's just the outer shell. The tissue underneath is viable and pink...it actually looks quite good. I'm just being impatient about it growing out, mainly because she gets lonely and I feel sorry for her. She was out with her sisters last night for quite a while and did great. She probably just wishes I would stop hovering.

This is what I suggest trying.



A birds beak is much like your finger nail. What I would try if you haven't already is to fix the beak in proper position and brush it with a few coatings of super glue. Then quarantine her and feed her "soft" foods only. Mash and mushed up greens and scrambled eggs for a while.

LOL...I actually did tell her that very thing, and she went right over to her little corner of her "hospital" crate and took a nap!! Maybe she thinks as soon as nap time is over she can go outside.

Also this is a REALLY good excuse for you to be a couch potato, put a movie, or 2 in the DVD, get a towel and chill with yer peep on the sofa.........I will be right over with the popcorn......
