I live in Laredo and it's super hot.the temperature goes up to 90-100 degree.will that affect the hen?

Just make sure you have good ventilation and shade in the coop and fresh, cool water on those hot days. We got close to 100 degrees here in MN a few times and I gave them ice water. My hens loved it! I've given them frozen fruit, too.

My rooster just mated My hen i dont think it worked because she struggled.the rooster got the back of her head and when she was running he mounted her.but when I cheked her she had a bit of white on her feathers.but I only saw a dot.so did it work or did it not?will the eggs be fertilized because the hen is like 3-4 months old.please tell me thank you

My rooster just mated my hen again she is 3-4 months old and my rooster is 5-6 months old.will the hen lay eggs?will they be fertilized eggs?please let me know

I doubt she'll lay eggs at only 3-4 mos. Never know though. My Ghost girl started laying at 4 1/2mos. None of my others are laying yet. He's probably just a horny roo doing his thing. JMO though. My roo started mounting mine before any started laying (and he's the same age as them, the older ones are 5mos tomorrow and younger are 3mos 3wks tomorrow). He even mounted one of the younger ones the other day, she's not laying yet.

Ok thx I am getting another hen that has layed fertilized eggs.will that hen want to be mounted by my roo?

mine kind of "fought" it at first, but now they just "surrender" most of the time. Earlier this evening I was out with mine and my roo went after one of my GSL, he mounted her, but um, well, he missed if you know what I mean, she laid there until he was done, but he totally got her back this time *eye roll* lol
