Hens Constantly Screaming

We processed our rooster today and our hens have been screaming for hours. He was processed in a separate building.

Is there any other reason why they might be screaming?

It's possible this is just a coincidence. You've probably heard them screaming before and not given it any significance.

Also, it's possible that removing the rooster from the pecking order has caused the hens to compete with one another for new ranks within the now changed order. This is quite normal and to be expected. They should settle down in a couple of days.
