Hens fighting like roosters?

Hi all
Today I noticed two (of 4) of my hens were
fighting like roosters. Does anyone know why?
Also any methods of stopping it?
Of course it wasn't really serious fighting
just sizing eachother up and then a bit of
jumping at eachother and ended with a peck on the back.

but you would nearly think, they were trying to rearrange, the pecking order

Irish is right. This is how hens settle serious challenges to their rank in the pecking order. Nothing to worry about. It's the way of Chicken World.

I agree. Chickens think differently then us and thier social rules a alot different!
