Hens going thru Sex Change?

I purchased 6 Hens in July. They we 3 months old when I brought them home. 1st week of Nov I went out early morning to let the chickens out of the coop, my Delaware came out and started to crow. After the shock, I did some surfing and read she could be turning into a he. I noticed small nubs on her legs which I was told could be spurs growing.
Now this week, I have another hen crowing, Buckeye.
So, were these late bloomer Roosters or really changing?

She wouldn't be turning into a he at all. At 6 mo, you should easily be able to tell gender based on appearance , so if you were pretty sure it was a hen, it probably is. When no rooster is in the flock, the dominant hen will rise to the job of protector as a rooster would do, and some even begin to crow. Pictures would be most helpful.

They don't change sex. some cockerels are slower to mature, others don't have dominance trait and you don't realize they are until they have matured, then you have hens that in an all hen group the alpha will try to crow. Not sure where ya read the bularky about a chicken changing sex completely, it don't happen though if there is a reproductive just like when our hormones gt outta balance we can develop some male characteristics.

As everybody else has said, pullets don’t turn into cockerels. I have something similar in my flock though, I have a hen (she lays eggs) who has spurs and sometimes mounts on the other chickens.
As for the crowing, I just believe your cockerel is a late bloomer. Photos would also help. :)
