I went to sow some greens and pelleted clover for my girls in a fenced off area and noticed that they'd broken in when I locked them up. I thought I had it Houdini-proof. They're all in bed and seem fine. It wasn't much, just a thinly sown strip. How worried should I be?

pelleted clover
@BansheeBenji ..do you know that the coating is?
Probably not......so @sourland's advice is probably best here.

From googling:
"Pelleted Seeds for Accurate Sowing, Reduced Thinning. ... Pelleting is a process in which small or irregularly shaped seeds are coated with an inert material to make them round and uniform. The benefits of pelleting are numerous: Pelleted seeds can be planted with a mechanical seeder. "

They have a clay layer to make them easier for machines or tools to plant/sling them. I plant pelleted crimson clover seeds every year for winter chicken feed and a cover crop. I've seen my chickens eat some pelleted seeds.. no problem.
