hens not roosting

I noticed this evening that my hens put themselves to bed on the floor of the coop instead of roosting. Is this normal?

How old are they? Some of our girls didn't start roosting until they were two and half months old.

lol normal my girls didnt roost till 1 yr old they liked sleepping near hwere they layed the eggs lol

uhh.. maybe they're too young.

my hen started roosting at 14 weeks.

thanks, 7 of these hens are 10 mos or older. just one night they all stayed on the ground. the 3 youngsters (5mos) never roost!
