Hens or Roos???

This morning Snowball, the buff, is making sounds like a duck, or a gobble....

???

Is this the beginning of a crow?? (Since we believe she my be an Orpington, I am hoping you experts out there can tell me what the heck THAT is

Neither of them are showing spurs yet, or any long tail feathers. Except Snowball, who has one longer feather (you can already see that in the pics), but her tail is not even anyways. Both of them still sit right away when I put them on my lap or my arm.

Thanks for hanging in there with us

!!! Still sending those "girl" vibes out there.....

They both still look like pullets to me, but they are still young...

Keep checking them and looking for "boy feathers", as those will develop at roughly 5+ months old...

Saddle, hackle and sickle feathers...

(Not my pic, but it's so good I had to use it, credit to whoever made it!)

This reminds me of when I was pregnant...people would look at my belly and predict what I was having

...We are bonding, that is why I am harnessing "Girl! Girl! Girl!".
Thanks for the visual!

Good MOrning!

I thought it would be time for an update, and thank you all for the gender guessing :).

They are both HENS!! Pepper laid her first egg a few weeks ago, and then Snoball, the Buff, followed suit. Now we are getting two eggs a day :).

We ended up building a new coop, the other one was posing safety risks, and leaked. I will post pictures, it turned out pretty darn good, if I may
say so. (My husband and I tend to build things very crooked :)...). We are waiting for the rain to stop so we can paint it...
