Hens or roosters???

well, I hope mine are not over used...my first time with both sexes...I will quarantine off the hens that are over used to help them out.

The roosters do protect the flock, I have read great stories of roos giving their lives to protect the girls, and fend off the bad guys!
Its going to be fun to watch the family unfold here. If we get babies, ok, if not, that is ok too. At first all we wanted was eggs.

I started with chickens last year, I bought 9 thinking I was getting pullets for eggs...I ended up with 9 roosters...!!
Got rid of them and started all over, so I had a dry run and read a lot of the postings here, this is a great site to get
educated!
