my new BCM's have been confined to the coop for 5 days. Yesterday I opened the coop door to let them out into their secured run...they have not come out yet. I put their food in the run but left water in the coop. Should I scoot them out or will they get hungry enough to come out. Sprinkled food on the coop ramp to try to get them to come out. Feel bad that they must be hungry.

Give them time - they are in a new environment. You don't say how old they are. The most important thing, whatever age, is that they get food and water. Put it in the coop. Don't make them come out, when they are scared and feel threatened. Put regular food in the coop. Once they are settled, they will come out, and won't need food to do so, as long as they have shade and a comfortable environment in the run. Then you can move the food outside.

Chickens are 'chicken'!!

Give 'em time, probably best to put food and water back in coop tho.
Food and water is back in the Coop Also is it ok to leave their coop door open all night? Their run is totally secured with hardware cloth and a roof
