Here comes the FLOOD!

Here is this morning's picture. These are taken from my porch. From 6:30 am, May 3, 2011

Actually, last time it did this we were able to trot line right down from the house. We would come home and tie up the boat on the 8th step of the front stairway. We caught so many catfish we finally brought in the line we were tired of cleaning so many.
 
Holy Ned I like water but not that much!! All the more power to ya cuz you are a stronger person than I am! Hope the levels don't get too high and you all stay safe. Can't believe how fast the level rises.
 
That'd be kinda fun in a boat to your house...but not for too long. Hope it recedes soon.
 
Hey, I read an quote from the Corps of Engineers stating "If you've ever flooded before, get ready to flood again". Luckily I'm not in a flood zone, but am next to one. Could make traveling a challenge.
 
We're just 2 miles off Highway 1, but we're between the levee and the river, so if the river comes up, we get flooded. The talk now is the possibility of a levee break, which would flood the entire delta. I just don't know, there were alot higher waters back in the 30's. I'm going to try and get pics of the house and our "driveway".
