Hang around here long enough and you will catch "chicken fever" too.
You link is not working but I will check back to see the pics. We are all hoping the water levels will stay below predicted.

It was only a few months ago that here in Australia we faced major flooding across three states- while another ( 7 states only in this country ) was burning. Now mother nature has turned its attention to your country.

My thoughts are with you all at this time.

Good luck to everyone at the spring show in Little Rock, AR today. Take lots of pictures. Wish I were there.

Now I have to catch a boat ride out to feed chickens and milk the goats before I can get busy loading stuff up. I took off work today. Gonna try to save the appliances if possible. I wonder if we can get the washer and dryer in a boat?

be careful mom! let me know if i need to bring anything tomorrow!

Jen I am so sorry about the destruction of your property.

Being from Arizona, I cannot help but wonder about all of that water. If the government could build a system of canals and siphons they could transfer water from these rivers to more arid places. That would keep places like yours from flooding.

Looking at all that water makes me want to plow, plant and irrigate. I hate to see it wasted.

Are those pecan trees in the photos?

I thought you were bringing lunch? and don't forget my camera!

My son-in-law showed up yesterday afternoon and three of his friends showed up today!

Just heard my "nirmal" daughter took best English with her buff orp hen and her daughter took best Junior English with a buff orp pullet at the Ark spring show.

So I have to ask, as an insurnace adjuster, do you have flood insurance? I sure hope so and hope even more that you won't need it.

As for the floods in Australia? Bah. I was over there for six weeks back in February and March on Cat Duty, handling cyclone and flood claims. Even though Cyclone Yasi was much larger than Katrina it didn't do nearly the damage, neither did the floods. My team did manage to get stuck in a tiny town called Cardwell, ground zero for Yasi, by flooding for five days. Fun.....not.

Oh....and congrats on the wins! That's what life is about - moments of joy. The stuff in your house, no matter what it is, in the end is just stuff. Stay safe and leave before you think you really need to. I've handled tons of fatality claims over the years. I've yet to handle a claim involving stuff that I couldn't repair or replace but I still haven't managed to figure out how to fix dead.
