Ladies and gentlemen we have a baby!

I knew a baby was coming! Last night I tried so hard to stay up and watch. I didn't make it. I went to bed at first pip.

Then I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and peeked in the bator and saw this!

And check out that egg next to this little peeper! I also have one other egg pipped so far. Nothing but EE's yet. How exciting! And also I'm excited about the six mutt eggs in there too. I could have a frizzle or a polish mix or anything! Mutt surprise!!!

This little chicky's name is Myra. She's my childhood best friend who now lives in Cali and I promised I'd name my firstborn after her. Dang she's loud! She's a cute little EE huh?

Two chickys in the bator!

OMG I need to go to TSC and get some chick mash or something...I've got to get out of my house before I flip out and open the bator again! One chicky is on another chicky's head and I just want to reach in and roll it off...and now the one chicky is on top of the eggs and can't seem to navigate back to the flat part of the bator and I fear it's stuck there and I'm a nervous wreck!

This is maddening!!!

So Farrr.....with 15 eggs I have

3 chicks - 1 zip and 3 pips!!! 2 of my pips are mutt eggs!!! I can't wait to see what pops out of the mutt eggs.

My first hatchling, Little Myra has passed!

I don't know what was wrong with her, but her belly was swollen and it was if she couldn't balance herself on her legs and feet. Otherwise she seemed healthy but when I came in from church today, she was gone.

So far I have 6 eggs hatched of my 15. Three are pipped. They're still hatching! Today is the official due date of my babies.

The little black one up front is one of my mixed eggs. I'm thinking Cochin mix cause of the color and the fluffy legs. I have another one just like it still in the bator.

So far I'm very pleased with my chic Chick bator and the hatch. So far every egg that's pipped, has zipped and hatched.

Onward and upward!!! 9 eggs to go!

I'm sorry to hear about your lost.... but it looks like you are going to alot of other.... Yes, that mix look like mottled cochin chick....
