Here some pictures taken from one of my Pavo muticus imperator females in different positions

" The hen is perfectly adapted to each year season to the nature "

General questions about the peacocks ( Blue and Green ) ... you believe that peahens change ALL their feathers every year? ... I do not think so!
Cocks .... Yes!
Pressure exerted by the "sexual selection" forces them to do a total moult every year !

Hello Dany,
I’m for 100% sure, that the hens will molt all the feather every year too, IB and green hens.
In my aviary the hens have the possibility to take during summer time a lot of sun bathes, which they enjoy a lot. This is change the color of the feathers. The green hens are loosing the blue on the wing covers nearly completely and the neck and back feathers are getting dull.
The brown of the IB hens is getting a lot lighter during the summer.
During molting season you can then see well everywhere the new feathers between the old worn out once. At the end of the molting season all feathers are changed.

Dany 12 the female change every year their springs
here are pics from a female taken at different time in the year
I think the pictures saying enough and give you the right answer
