I set mine at 9:00 pm so was surprised to find one pipped this morning.

Silkies or chicks Kay? I have too many( roosters!!!!) for me right now and still hatching Trying to get together a nice flock. I have White, Paint, Partridge and Splash Showgirl Cockerels. Paint and Partridge hens ( yes just the two with all the boys!!!) I also have 4 not sure of sex 4 month olds and Nine 8-9 week old black , blue,white,blue partridge,splash. These will be the first hatched from my own Silkies.

If mom pushed him out you may have to set up a brooder just for him until he gets a little more stable.

I would set a brooder up for him as he needs the heat.Maybe let him rest a while but if hes half a day old or about i would try some water with a drop of poli visol vitmin and maybe in the water thinly some food crumbles.
I had one like that walked sort of stilted kept falling asleep after 2 steps but after a day of feeding him by a eye dropper he got strong enough to go in with the others.
