I live in Michigan and it is getting in the low 30s at night. I dont have a heated coop. The eco glow says not to use it when it is less than 50 degrees. I am worried about this last hatch. I probably timed it too late in the year, but I couldnt help myself. I can only keep them in the house for a week (agreement with the dh)... not sure they will survive the cold weather even with the eco glow.
Try to talk DH into letting them stay in the house until they get some real feathers. When you do place them outside just make sure to give them deep bedding. Maybe try some heated bricks or rice socks(rice in a sock and then heated in a microwave) also. Maybe a little house made from a cardboard box so they can go in and out if they want.
