Just hatched my last for the year... three little silkies I was hoping for paints and got one out of three... these were a hard hatch. The first two were "shrink wrapped" so had to take them out of the shell. the last one hatched by its self . Had one with splayed legs so have it hobbles and it is doing great. Hopefully i can take the hobble off soon. Im going to check tomorrow and see if there is any improvement.

Hey Everyone!!!
Anybody have a hatch going right now?
Feathersprings, you're paint is gorgeous! I hatched silkies my first hatch and did have a hard time as well! A couple of mine were shrink wrapped and I had to assist! I had no idea what I was doing as it was my first hatch and first assist ever...but everyone made it out alive.
I'm currently watching my 2nd batch of English Orpingtons hatch out. My first hatch I got 3 out of 12 eggs. This hatch looks like it's 7 out of 12 [I think that because they were shipped from MD to NC, I had a better rate because they didn't travel as far!] So far I've got 2 splash, 1 dark blue and 1 light blue...There are 3 more eggs, one is pipped from the wrong end...but still trying to work his/her way out! 1 other is pipped and the last one I can hear tapping the shell, hopefully it'll just be a late hatcher!
How's everyone else doing?? I can't believe how big the babies I hatched in this thread have become!
