Here we go again!

no news yet...end of day 20 today...everything looks great in the bator...funny when i crank the humidity up the temp drops about 0.5F

At 50% humidity the temp was 99.5 now at 65-75% humidity the temp is 98.8-99F.

Oh well im not going to risk cooking them by dicking round with the thermostat now...we will just wait and see what happens!
I will keep you all posted.

Good luck on your hatch, Aran! Have you considered making a second bator to use as a hatcher. Then on day 18 just move your eggs there since it will be setup with higher humidity. This way the eggs remaining in the bator won't be affected. Just a thought....

i would definitely had done that but this all sort of happened reasonably quickly in terms of eggs coming at different times. I will certainly make a separate hatcher for next time.
News this morning is that one of the silkies had pipped before i left for work . I will see when i get home what has eventuated. The humidity was at about 75% this morning and temp right about 99F so i hope it all goes well.

i also came home to one little black baby silkie...he/she is perfect looking . There is another egg which has pipped also...i will keep you posted.
