So, being an east coaster and a retired Navy wife, I'm trying to figure out how there can be a naval base in the middle of the freaking desert. Thank heavens for Google! Now I understand that it's a Naval Air Weapons Station. It makes a lot more sense for THAT to be in the middle of the desert!

My hubby used to be stationed in 29 Palms, CA. And while it was terribly hot hot hot out there, the sense of community of the other crazy people living out in the middle of nowhere was wonderful. We made so many friends and had a tight knit group.

I pray that whatever is supposed to happen, will happen. God knows all.

Thank you, we are really hoping it works out. Of course, when it rains it pours. A pipe burst in the wall today - thank God it is the garage wall to the outside.
