I have quite a few different breeds a heritage poultry, bred to the APA Standard of Perfection, that are raised for meat and eggs. Would there be much interest in these if we were able to start offering chicks and hatching eggs out of them? We have most of the American and Mediterranean breeds, along with Cornish and a few others for chickens plus a few breeds of ducks and geese and all of the large varieties of Turkeys.

Wow, that's a lot of kinds. The problem is getting the word out. Ask around, sell (or give away) a few colored eggs, and look into self- advertising around where you live.

Thanks for the reply! If we do it we would have the capacity to do a lot of advertising, which I agree is going to be the big thing. I am curious what breeds people would be most interested in being able to get chicks from, so we know how many hens we would have to have in each flock.
