My Bourbon Reds got to be about 30 lbs or so, never weighted them, but, boy they were heavy. I was told that a full grown tom will eat a pound a day, and a hen half a pound a day. Hope that helped.

Ok, I was wondering becuese my bourbons eat very little feed. I think I can feed 4 hens from hatch to 28 weeks on 50 lbs or 2 pairs on 50 lbs " 2 toms and 2hens "

How about I cut the arms off a big T-shirt, and pull it over his head, then I can hang on to that...or DH can, while I wash wings & tail & those muddy legs & toes.

I free ranged my turkeys, and that had cut back the feed a bit, for they like to stay outside and eat anything they can find.
