Yep, the new pics make me even more sure that he's a Wyandotte cross.

I had to look up the Wyandotte, but I would have to agree. The face is very similar to the breed. Very pretty boy, I love his colors!

There may be wyandote in his background, but he is a pet-quality silkie. The comb type is common to silkies; body type is not too far off.

Have you noticed that his head seems a bit too large for his body? That, plus the shape of the head and the comb, make me think Wyandotte is in there somewhere. Of course, sometimes it's hard to say what breeds will look like when combined with other breeds. If he is just a pet quality Silkie, he's really pet quality, but interesting-looking anyway.

I agree with Speckled Hen the head is deffiantely out of proportion with the rest of his body almost 100% sure that it is silkie/wyandotte cross

His head has always been to big for his body, even when he hatched. Do you think that is because one parent is a Bantam and one a Standard?

ok, he is a pure silkie because-
silkieXwyandotte= a straight feathered chicken because the silkie gene is recessive gene
f2 will always be silkied but never f1 silkie crosses
