her feathers seam to be finishing up a transition. you can still see a few that are mostly dark with a thin pencil line of gold across them. The new gold feathers that are comming up to replace them are with very thick black bars. and there is no rusty color on her like there is my goldens. so would a manchurian have more or less color then a golden?

She is a very pretty bird though, i do like her looks!

Dont Look Manchurian Or Italian To Me... This Bird Exhibits Both Wild And Range Barring As Well As Many Different Colorings--- None Of Which Sinc With Each Other. Beautiful Nonetheless, But Really Does Not Fit Any Standard Coloring Pattern

the feathers that are british range looking are falling out and being replaced by the bold gold and black barred ones if that helps any?

I think people call the golden like the generic brown. Not a standard color. But we can call these birds what we like. The reason I said manchurian was because of the breast color and front. The back is sure neat. I did find that over time the Manchurians fade in their color each time they molt. The ones I have left used to have very bold backs and then they faded over time. I then put then with Jumbo pharaohs/browns to spike up the markings a bit and to help the lethality. Pretty hen though

so if my goal is to get more like her, should i put her with the goldens or jumbo browns?

Here is how I solve the puzzle....If it lays an egg. Its' a hen!!!!!!!

She may be a very pretty one of a kind. Unless you hatch a billion chicks. A random convergence of genes blooming before your eyes.

any idea the hen and roo that got together to create this work of art? were they your birds? do you still have them? agreed, may be a one of a kind, but would be neat to solve the puzzle.

we can try (maybe in futility) to problem solve...

staring at the pic, the markings are almost symmetrical?
