Well maybe they aren't all robots then. The obvious ones probably are but the "unknown" browser user agents could be anything. Its pretty simple to edit the browser user agent. I'm using Windows 95 and IE4 right now.

"unknown" BUA's are usually script kiddies trying to pop accounts and trying to get around countermeasures that block based on user agent/ip/connection attempts over a period of time.
