I have these grand dreams of my perfectly behaved little ladies just gently grazing through the yard and it being so peaceful and easy but I'm getting the sinking feeling I'm way off lol.
Those are dreams alright!!

Yes i was planning to get 3 but you all know how that works out when faced with all those fuzzy little butts lol... I plan on letting them free range most of the day but that coop definitely is way smaller than I thought. It was advertised for 4 large chickens or 6 bantams but I think even that was a stretch
Seems like online vendors are always over generous with the description and make it look like a 3 chicken coop could easily house 7 chickens... I want a peaceful flock so I'm going to try to give them as much space as I can in my tiny yard. Your chicks are so cute! What breeds did you pick?

If they are free-ranging all day, that coop would work fine. If not, you could get a large run extension rather than a whole new coop.

Yes I realize the mistake now but I'm going to have to just do a renovation to make more space. Than save up for a bigger coop all together.
I got 2 silver laced wyandottes 2 double laced barnevelders and 1 golden lace polish. The wyandottes are becoming fast favorites. They are so sweet and friendly.
