Welcome to BYC! I am new to, four days now lol but mine are still incubating & the wait is killing me!!! I see them sitting there everyday & I want to peek in there & see a baby every time I look over I am not good at waiting lol!!

I do hope you luck with neighbours! No one Should be legally allowed to decline fresh eggs for bribes

How exciting to hatch them at home!!! I got mine from a farm about an hour from my house. Can't wait to see your babies when the are born. What kind are you hatching?

Ya it is exciting to hatch your own. I chose this option as it seems very difficult to get chicks shipped to where I live & I wanted to do something with my older kids with whom I am going through a horrible custody battle with their abusive father & thought having something like this to do when they come to visit would help them .... not to mention shipping chicks is expensive! (fresh eggs ain’t a bad thing either lol)

Unfortunately I do not quite know as I was told they were Americauna chickens but I have no blue or blue/green eggs. However I have found through some research that there still might be a chance that I’ll get an Americauna.... but for now, not only do I have to wait for them to hatch but also to find out what they are lol it’s killing me
