Seems like online vendors are always over generous with the description and make it look like a 3 chicken coop could easily house 7 chickens... I want a peaceful flock so I'm going to try to give them as much space as I can in my tiny yard. Your chicks are so cute! What breeds did you pick?Yes i was planning to get 3 but you all know how that works out when faced with all those fuzzy little butts lol... I plan on letting them free range most of the day but that coop definitely is way smaller than I thought. It was advertised for 4 large chickens or 6 bantams but I think even that was a stretch

I was thinking of making a 8' by 10' attachment on the run but also giving like 4 hours to range daily when I'm home to supervise. If they are free-ranging all day, that coop would work fine. If not, you could get a large run extension rather than a whole new coop.
Yes I realize the mistake now but I'm going to have to just do a renovation to make more space. Than save up for a bigger coop all together.Seems like online vendors are always over generous with the description and make it look like a 3 chicken coop could easily house 7 chickens...
