porterhouse steak, with fried mushrooms
Alfredo pasta and noodles on the side

Chicken breast and two small pork chops (wasn't sure if the chicken was enough, lol!) on the grill, baked potato, and roasted veggies-zuchinni, yellow squash, red bell pepper, mushrooms, carrots. I'm starving!

Friday ..didn't cook

Last night, I made one of our favorite Thai dishes... Guai Tiew Gai Koor ...only I sub'd the gai (chicken) for koong (shrimp). I found fresh rice noodles ..fairly wide, but not as wide as I prefer... in a local asian market, which makes a huge difference in the dish, I think.

It disappeared so quickly, I have to make some more today ..DH request!

And if you try this at home ..and find yourself using a freshly opened bottle of soy ...please make sure the top is secure BEFORE you give the bottle a good shake. I sprayed the entire kitchen with soy ..my white tee was speckled and splotched a very nice dark brown ...and I have to wash my hair again, today. Surprisingly, it burns the eyes quite a bit, too ......but beware the strangest.. there seems to be an aphrodisiac effect on weird DH's. He slobbered on my forehead

Sounds like a wonderful dinner. We just gome from a fund raiser and we are all soaking wet and tired. I see a nap in my future and a "make your own dinner" night.​

Dh made his scallop dish last night. It was fantastic!

Tonight we have to go to the next town over to pick DS up from the train. I think the plan is to go out for chinese!

I have a hen in the oven ..slow roasting with some secret seasonings

I'll probably do a pilaf and some sauteed fresh greens from the backyard.
