Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

daughter cooked dinner for son in law's birthday--grilled T bones, a really good butternut and yellow squash casserole, homemade stuffed mushrooms. I made bread and his chocolate pie for dessert. We bought a butchered cow back in March and I don't ever want supermarket beef again!!
We used to raise a beef when I was growing up! It is so good
 
Grew up on cattle ranch .. We were a fully active farm if we did not have it we did not eat it I was in college before I had fish of any sort .. We had out milk cows that we kept, my favorite part. Cannot still eat grass fed beef it has a bad oder to me.

I like grass fed beef but it does have a different taste for sure!

Dad raised them on beef but fed them corn for the last several months. Actually is was a mix of alfalfa pellets, corn and molasses
 
Not sure but he called it grain out really like no one here has grained out meat but the butcher in Morton he thinks it is gold
Exactly! The grass fed beef we by was not grained out at the end.

It makes a very nice marbling of fat that makes the meat tasty. That is what you see in the Costco meat
