Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Princess spent the day at an Irish wake; therefore, she was not hungry tonight. I ate a pint of clam chowder. Where is that belching smiley?

I really like duck and goose - the Princess does not.

Duck is a favorite around here. Goose is served on the occasion (kind of a traditional meal). We all eat just about any bird: chicken, turkey, goose, duck, pheasant, dove, and quail.

I'm trying to get meat ducks and geese going here, but the plucking part is holding us back. We don't even pluck our chickens, we just skin them. Although, I do have replaced washing machine I'm hoping to turn into a plucker in the spring.....

stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrots, tomatoes with mozzarella (I think I am addicted). That cranberry/pear tart sounds so good. Maybe I need to start making desserts? Nah, too late to teach an old dog

new tricks.

HA! Hey, I had some pears that needed using ASAP and some leftover cranberry relish that needed to be consumed. -pulled out a recipe that combined both so it worked out well. -hubby and kids were happy and the fridge was cleaned out!

Cleaning out the fridge is always a bonus, isn't it?

We were gifted a turkey, so had turkey dinner tonight. Bird, stuffing, green bean casserole. Last of the birthday ice cream.

Cooking a turkey worked out nicely as the kids are out of school (again!) tomorrow, so lunch can be turkey sammiches. Might have turkey again for dinner tomorrow. I'm so blessed my family doesn't get food fatigue easily!
