Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I'm of the belief that if you fire up the grill, you make it worth while. So we grilled deer steaks in the McCormick Mesquite Marinade, huge pork steaks marinades in oil and salt and pepper (I have a picky eater), and blackened tilapia. Also threw some cauliflower and corn on the cob on there. It also helps we were celebrating my daddy's birthday. :)

That would be so good!

Happy birthday to your Dad!

I can't believe I've never had Shepherd's Pie until tonight. I was reading old posts in this thread and saw it. Took the leftover grilled venison, leftover grilled corn, and leftover mashed potatoes and whipped one up. Also had a from the garden fresh salad to go with it. The kids had fish sticks, raw carrots, and grapes.

The oldest is a picky eater. I always said I would never make two meals, that my kids would eat what I fixed or go hungry. Then I had a kid with multiple severe to moderate food allergies. I make two meals often.

The youngest will try things much more willingly than his brother.

That's how I use to make Shepard's pie but over the years its turned into rice instead of potatoes, broccoli with homemade cheese sauce instead of corn and ground pork (cause I can't eat beef).
Today I finally made pulled pork in the crock pot which we had with salad and homemade brownies for dessert. I followed this recipe for that and added an extra 1/4 c sugar after reading the reviews. http://www.inspiredtaste.net/24412/cocoa-brownies-recipe/

We ate out for lunch like we usually do on Sundays after church and Sunday nights are typically our "international food" night. Aka, "leftovers", "clean out the fridge" and "fend for yourself"

Do you have a food allergy to beef? My son has multiple severe food allergies. Makes cooking much more difficult. I'm on page 100 of this thread trying to get ideas for meals that I might can fix ahead of time and freeze for when school starts back. Also that are egg free or can be modified to be egg free.

When someone says they can't eat Beef, I think it is because of Gall Bladder problems. The fat in Beef can set of an attack for some people.

My allergist is allergic to beef, so he eats buffalo, venison, elk, ect.
I am developing pork issues, so I guess any protien has allergy potential... but pork is ham and bacon and ribs. The good bits.
