Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

We had toad-in-the-hole tonight with apples sauteed in butter. cknmom mentioned it awhile back and it finally made it's way to our table.

Like Aneesa, my 10 girls have been laying 9 eggs daily for the past week, so I think tomorrow we are having omelettes.

Hey happyhen! You joined us in the Wednesday Breakfast for Dinner club!

As I have only 1 of my 3 girls laying right now (and they're nearly 3 years old to boot) there'll be no homegrown omelettes in my future. Enjoy one for me!

It's BforD night here, which is about all I can handle. Between one kid in finals right now, the two of them going every which way, and with me in the middle of corporate taxes, it's about all I can handle. Wish I was doing something much more fun for my bday!

I needed some comfort food after being called an idiot by some of the BYC'ers this morning, so I made a late lunch of Shawarmas with chicken and all the other stuff. DH inhaled his ..and I hid one for him to take to work, later.

We're having spaghetti with ground beef and italian sausages, salad and TX style garlic toast ..maybe even cheese.

I just LOVE narrow minded people!

Thanks happyhen!

So sorry that happened to you, Annesasmuse.

HenMama2 - What is Texas toast? There's a thick sliced bread they call that in the store here, but I usually use it for French toast. How to you prepare Texas toast?

Edited to add:
Thanks for the bday card, Annesasmuse! Cute!

I'm not HM2, but I make my TX style toast the same way as the store kind, pretty much.... except I just slice my own home baked bread extra thick and slather on the garlic butter and sprinkle some parm or asiago or even cheddar, etc. ..on the top, before it goes in the broiler.
