Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

You guys, we are slipping...what are ya'll having for dinner?

We are having pancakes and sausage

Pancakes:

3 cups flour
7 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
6 tablespoons melted butter

mix dry, make a well in center and add wet, then stir til blended

Yes this is a double recipe...the chickens will get the leftovers we dont eat for breakfast tomorrow.

I got a night off, somewhat, I still had to decide what and then go and get it. So tonight, KFC. The girls are chowing down on cole slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, corn on the cob, and fried chicken. Me, same, minus cole slaw.

Well, if you'd asked me a couple of hours ago, I would have said that we were having meatball sandwiches. But, we've been invited over to some friends house for dinner so we may be doing that if the timing works out. Better figure it out soon. I had a very small lunch!

Pumkinpup greek chicken sounds yummy!

I have been sick with the flu all day.

So the boys (ds & dh) get fish sticks and spiderman mac & cheese.

What was supposed to be BBQ chicken, tater salad, something green and baked beans ...turned into.. Herbed 'n oiled roasted chicken.. Mezze Penne Carbonera.. 7 Greens (5 of which were fresh from the backyard) with yellow peppers and shallots fried in... and baked beans (in the crock pot ..which I will not do again.. just wanted to try it and I don't like it as much as the oven version).

DH didn't like the "new" bean version either

I've been MIA due to the lovely, perpetual migraine ...and I got 2 new "kids" in yesterday ..they are on gut stasis watch ..cuz their last human sucked a little

Either you all are not cooking, or are too shy to share.

After a week of shoveling 4+ feet of snow and ice with highs in the 20's, I needed a taste of summer.

Black peppered bbq shrimp, rice, cole slaw, corn, 4 bean salad, home baked French bread to sop up the "sauce", and lots of napkins.

Ice cold beer to wash it all down.

We're expecting another front, and I'm ready to start shoveling again ... tomorrow ... I think.

Not too shy, just knee deep in taxes. Ugh.

We did go to dinner at the house of our friends last night, so we had the meatball sandwiches tonight along with a nice green salad. Next time I need to do more bread. The kids wanted seconds!

BB I LOVE meatball sandwiches. I make them at least once a month.

Tonight I made homemade refried beans and fajitas.

Did anyone go to Denny's for the free Grand Slam breakfast today? We did, it was good and I loved the price. lol

hubby made a "lasagna" out of canned Ravioli....
