Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Supper this afternoon was a big pot of potat soup! Yummy! Kendra sure loved it! I was still getting the rolls out of the oven when Ken took pics of the table and Kendra.

Joe, or anyone else that smokes meat...

I have pecan hulls and read they're good to use in a smoker. Thoughts? I only have a little electric smoker at the moment.

How about cherry wood? Honey helped someone take down an old cherry tree and he brought branches home. good for smoking?
 
That's probably why I don't like mesquite, never had it until I moved to Wyoming and we had to buy our wood chunks for smoking. We tried mesquite and I was not impressed. We used sugar maple, apple wood and hickory prior to the move. Back in Wisconsin now, so trying Asian pear from a tree we cut down in the orchard area and apple trimmings from the tree in the front yard.
