The boy is home for winter break, so we have been doing his favorites before he heads back.
Take out, dinners out, lunch out.
I really have not enjoyed it.

I am having a difficult time admitting this, but... I miss home cooked meals.
I wish I had me to that for me without me having to do it.

Can totally follow that, and completely agree. I love to cook, but sometimes I wish someone else would step up.
 
I think I'm going for mushroom and herb lasagna tonight, with a salad. I have some pears I need to use, so I'm going to make a pear bread pudding with a vanilla cream sauce.

Tomorrow will be something easy. Maybe grilled chicken breast or steak with a salad and veg. Thursday and Friday my hubs will be gone, so hallelujah, no cooking for me. If I get really ambitious I might make myself some scrambled eggs for breakfast and have popcorn for dinner.
 
Ron, those lemon bars are dangerous! finally got around to making a pan. They're just what I was looking for. I added a touch more lemon juice as I was really wanting tart, and they're just perfect. And way too easy

Tonight was supposed to be pork roast with carrots and mashed taters. But, digging in the freezer, spare ribs were easier to get to than a roast. So, Asian ribs in the crockpot. will serve with noodles and some stir fried veggies.

Adding more lemon juice is perfect too.

Yum on the Asian ribs.

And on the lemon bars. I'm keeping that recipe in my back pocket to make for company.
