Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I'm postponing the Greek chicken until tomorrow. I need a couple of things from the grocery store and the weather is so crappy that I don't want to go. So tonight we'll have grilled steak, roasted Yukon gold potatoes for hubby and sweet potato for me, brussel sprouts or salad or both (the steaks are really small).

I found chuck roast for under $3/lb! I'm amazed. Guess what's for dinner? I didn't buy any more carrots, I hope I have enough. We love the carrots almost as much as the meat.

Last night was Farmhouse chicken and salad.

Tonight was a beautiful Chicken Parm with lots of veggies in the sauce and fresh parsley on top. It was so pretty I should have taken a picture

. But I ate it instead.

Last night we had dinner at friends. She served a yummy salad first with a mesclun mix and orange segments and some barberries that she got in London. She also marinated a pork tenderloin in Southern Comfort and Honeybell orange juice and some fancy spice/herb mix she picked up in London. Served with roasted brussel sprouts and a mash of Yukon Gold potatoes and yams. Cranberry torte for dessert.

Tonight I'm making an Involtini with eggplant, feta, pine nuts, and raisins. I think I'm going to make some bread today. I had better get cracking' on that. Daylight's burning.

My day got blown up, so I sent my husband out to pick up pizza.

Tomorrow night is company. I'm making shrimp, chicken, and asparagus paella, homemade Italian style bread, a mesclun salad with oranges and walnuts, and flan de naranjas (fancy for orange flan) for dessert. I just pulled the flan out of the oven. Fingers crossed. This is the first flan I've ever made without milk or cream. I made them in individual ramekins with an extra one so I can test it tomorrow morning. If it doesn't pan out, I'm making Pouding Chomeur, a gooey maple pudding cake thing-a-ma-bob.
