Aneesa -Sorry about your head, hopefully the weather will change and you can stave off that migraine. Here's my recipe for clafouti:
1 TBSP unslted butter to grease pan
1/2 cup sugar, plus a little extra to dust buttered pan
4 ripe pears (any variety), peeled, halved and cored
3 eggs
1/3 cup AP flour
3/4 cup plain yogurt
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350
Geneously butter a 10 inch round pie plate or porcelain dish; dust lightly with sugar and lay pears in a single layer in the dish.
Beat eggs until foamy. Add sugar and beat until foamy and fairly thick. Add flour and beat until smooth. Add the yogurt, milk, vanilla and salt.
Pour batter over pears. Bake about 20 minutes, until nicely browned on top and knife tests clean. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or at room temp.
I confess .... I eat it the next day for breakfast.
It was kind of B4D tonight. Buckwheat crepes stuffed with sliced turkey, steamed broccoli spears and a Swiss cheese sauce.
cknmom - I always think lasagna tastes best the next day ... yumm!
