Hi everyone

!! Long time since I've been on here. Grandkids are on Easter vacation this week , and we have spent much of the time in the city with lawyers and courts messing with guardianship C**P!
I have felt like old mother hubbard fro the last two weeks. DH is barely working and my last big shopping trip to sam's club(in Jan.) was almost gone. Had to eat ou Mon. and thur. There was NOTHING in the house(not even ramen!)
On the way home from DMIL's house last night we stopped and bought enough stuff to last fro a few weeks at least.
I'm making DH and I steak and eggs this morning(leftover from my dinner thur.) Gkids will have cereal, not enough steak for them too.
Dinner tonight, haven't decided that yet. Will get back to you on that.
For the last 6 yrs or so we have had lamb for Easter dinner. With the work situation we are having ham(whch we LOVE). We bough a whole ham so it will last for quite a lot of meals. We are having boxed rice and boxed potatoes with it. Just realized that I don't have ANY veggies in the house:
I am making rolls and choc. pudding pie with fresh whipped cream for dessert. Wine to drink for DH and me, milk for the kiddos.
We have been drinking boxed wine almost exclusively for the last few years. It has gotten A LOT better quality and it lasts us about a week. We used to buy the blackberry merlot and arbor mists also. Good tasting wines, but disappear too quickly!!
ams- One of the smartest things I di was start to teach my kids/grandkids how to do their OWN laundry when they hit second grade! I supervised for a few weeks, my grandson right now is not allowed to push buttons;he's a little distructive sometimes. It gives me more time for other chores/crafts, and gives them some responsability and pride that they can do something most other kids don't/can't do. Then if they have no clean clothes, they only have themselves and their laziness to blame!
I am off to boil more eggs to dye and make breakfast. It is GREAT to be back and able to cook once again!!
