Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

We had a bbq with friends over again... sausage dogs, hamburgers, steak, baked beans, potato salad, fresh pineapple and melon, deviled eggs, chips, pop, beer...the works. ...and now, Tums.

Happy Monday everyone!

It was going to be BBQ hamburgers(on homemade wheat buns) but the wind came up so I will "grill" them on the George Foreman! Homemade potato chips to go with it.

Just made pitas for the first time, but have nothing to put in them. Maybe just fill with lettuce and dip them in the taziki.

It's pretty hot here in NorCal, too... so I am still trying to avoid the kitchen, but it's short lived. I was sick from too much sun yesterday, so I feel like I have to redeem myself and actually cook a meal today... ahh well...

I have chicken breasts out now.. and will likely fire up the GF grill, as well. Some kind of kebab seasonings or maybe just BBQ sauce.. dunno yet. I had a Lentil and "root" dish in mind, but it's too darn hot to stand around and 'tend the stove, so salad or something along those lines is more likely...

Welcome to the kitchen, brown_jes!

Pork chops, auGratin potatoes and roasted carrots with Balsamic vinegar. It was in the low 40's here today, very windy and rain, dont complain about it being too warm

My boyfriend bought me an apple tree today and its still in the back of my van because I didnt have anywhere to put it where it wouldnt blow away.

I'll trade you one windy and in the 40s for one 100+ degrees and 7% humidity.

Congrats on the new apple tree! What kind did you get?

At 7 pm, it's still 89 degrees. The avg high for my city at this time of the year is 74. Today beat the previous record that was set over 50 years ago.
