The night before last I went for far less than simple - a tasting menu at a Michelin Star restaurant. Perfectly cooked food but a lot of style over substance. Curiosity didn’t kill this cat it just made him $300 worse off

Princess has a performance tonight so I am on my own - think I will opt for a couple of BLT sandwiches on fresh bread from the Amish.

Tandoori prawn

I prefer more regional rustic food but this was the nearest Michelin Star place. Next year I may try another but one that serves food in the style I prefer.

They put ink on your food ? Now that's a big prawn.

Did you at least get enough food to feel full? that is my biggest complaint when they get all artsy with my food.

Actually yes - there were 10 courses so it was more than sufficient for me.

That is quite different plating for sure!
