The night before last I went for far less than simple - a tasting menu at a Michelin Star restaurant. Perfectly cooked food but a lot of style over substance. Curiosity didn’t kill this cat it just made him $300 worse off :lau

What did you eat?
I would have to go to San Francisco for a Michelin star restaurant!
 
Here are a couple of pics to give an idea of the food we had.

“Fish and chips” poached cod with a crunchy salt and vinegar topping with squid ink

I prefer more regional rustic food but this was the nearest Michelin Star place. Next year I may try another but one that serves food in the style I prefer.

That is quite different plating for sure!
