Lanissa... if you want it to be more sticky and sweet, just add more liquid and more sweetener (honey or sugar, etc.) ..and use cornstarch to get the thickness you desire.

I just did more of a dry fry type this last time ..so the unorthodox way was better for the method

Good luck with yours!

I've been cooking some pinto beans in the crock pot for about 28 hours now with homemade bbq sauce and onion...killer baked beans!! lol I'm going to the store to pick up some chicken from a local market that is selling it for .99 cents a pound...just don't know how I'm going to prepare it with the beans though.

The trouble with cooking in the crockpot overnight... You wake up several times to smell the yummy goodness that is permeating your whole house

...or you jump straight up in fear that you've left the stove on

My bbq chicken is done now, so I will just make some pasta or potato salad ...use some of the beans I cooked a couple days ago for baked beans in the oven ..and work on some greens.. probably collards and some kind of bread from the machine.

Any suggestions for a bread?

With H day tomorrow and my DS's 9th bday on Saturday, I am pooped out. I grabbed a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store and some big rolls. Added a simple butter lettuce salad to that and we were good to go!

Took large boneless, skinless chicken breast and placed each on it's own piece of foil so I can make a pouch out of them. Sprinkle with powders fajita seasoning, fresh chopped garlic a couple of large pats of butter and two slices of jalapeno pepper. Fold up into a pouch and bake about 30 minutes on 350 degrees. Serve with a fress tossed salad and black bean and corn salsa. YUMMMM!!!!
I should add that you need to use a fairly liberal amount of the fajita seasoning for it to be good.

st night was chicken and biscuits. I was craving chicken and dumplings but couldn't find my good recipe. It was just as good.

Tonight, I don't know as we are taking DGD to DMIL's house to trick or treat, we can't do that here. We usually go out afterwards for either mexican or pizza.

I don't remember who posted the chili-mac idea a while back, but Thank You!! It was just leftover chili and mac and cheese mixed up. Well, I had a little of each left, so I mixed them together with a little fresh onion. I threw the whole casserole dish in the freezer until later. There is always a night when you need a quick and easy dish. Well last night was that night. When it came out all bubbly and smelling wonderful, I added some shred mont. jack and sharp cheddar cheese. It melted as I was serving it. My family loved it! They had NO idea they were eating frozen left overs. I will def do that again!

I have NO idea! I've been sewing like a mad woman, and I don't sew. (I'm one of those people who flunked Backstitch 101)

My dd (10) decided she wanted to be Amy Rose (from Sonic Adventures) for Halloween. That's not a costume you can just go and buy so I've been making it up as I go along. I see the flaws in my work, but dd is thrilled!

I'll probably order out pizza or something.
