Ya'll laugh, but if I ever when the lottery and can quit work...
Guess I'll have to buy a mini-van, lol!!!!, nahhhhhh, with a lottery win, I'll go straight for the Hummer!!!

If you should win the lottery, with the size of crowd you are inviteing, a mini-van or Hummer won't do it. You're gonna need a motor coach or tour bus!

For dinner tonight I made a plate of baked french fries covered in chili with chopped tomato, onion, cheese and sour cream. Sausage on the side but I didn't want that...the chili cheese fries were bad enough for me but sooooo good.

Oh, heck, I almost forgot:

Tonight was baked potato, grilled hamburger patty, and chef salad.
I cannot believe I have now gone two whole days without a piece of cornbread. Biscuits yesterday, but no cornbread. I am starting to feel the effects of cornmeal withdrawal. If I don't get some cornmeal in my system like real soon, things are going to start to get real nasty around here.

Nuttin' special here tonight. Wednesday is "Breakfast for dinner" night at this house. Hubby works late and this tradition started out to keep me sane with the kids. They now count on it each and every week. I was lazy tonight - cereal & juice.

Would you believe that I don't have a clue what I want to fix for supper tonight? That's right!

I laid out some ground chuck to thaw...I keep coming thru and looking at it...thinking...NOTHING! I'm sick of chili's, soups, burgers, goulash, hmmmm, feeling very unispired about cooking tonight!

Hope ya'll have better luck in the kitchen...I think it's these lovely days we've been having here....
Yogi, how's your weather? Crop dusters have been flying over since WAY before breakfast, rains a coming....we are already floating!

Yogi, how's your weather?

Spring like weather right now. 72 degrees with chance of RAIN tonight. Friday's high predicted to be 80 and 83 Saturday. We get 2 to 3 days of decent weather then here comes the rain again. I am literally water logged.

Know what you mean about cooking tonight. I got an early start this morning and made a big pot of tamale soup with hopes of freezing some. Hamburger is by far my favorite meat because you can do so many things with it. Brandigirl makes me a mean meatball stew with brown flour gravy. She can even add potatoes and carrots to it. And then my all time favorite is hamburger steaks with smothered onions.
I am sure that you will come up with an idea and that it will as always be delicious.

Gotta get back to building chicken brooders for now.

More suggestions for hamburger. Hamburger steaks with mushroom gravy, meatloaf, meatballs with gravy over noodles, hamburger gravy over mashed potatos (I don't like it but my family does). I think I must be in a gravy mood. lol

We are having spaghetti and sourdough bread toasted under the broiler with butter, garlic, parm cheese and paprika.

Thus, your name! I've never tried scrambled egg sandwiches, but I LOVE fried egg sandwiches with lots of mustard and onions. Yum! And the rest of my family thinks they are pretty darn good as well. Try frying the egg and see if they can be won over. Then, after time, you can do a whooops and scramble it instead.

Parson's - How about tacos or burritos? Or, if you do grilled burgers like nccountrygirl suggested, why not do them with a little twist - inside-out with the cheese in the middle, or with some sort of a topping you wouldn't usually use - pepper cheese with ortegas, feta with roasted red peppers, or something like that?

As for me, I've got a beef stew in the crockpot - meat, potatoes, carrots, onions, celery along with some red wine, garlic, rosemary, and beef broth. Smells delish! I'll be serving that with a salad and some fresh bakery French bread. Might have to make a stew shake for my son, tho. He just got his braces today.
