maybe next year

If anyone is interested I'll try to find the recipe for corning poultry. I don't think it's quite like
beef. I have to say The corned beef comes out melting tender. I cooked it on high for about 3 1/2 hrs. I have also cooked it on low for 6 hrs. Depends on your crockpot.

Gosh, all this talk is making me hungry! I've never had corned beef, that I can think of. Unless you count the canned "hash" stuff, I've bought to have with breakfast, lol! And I have some Irish heritage too....my family isn't really into the heritage type traditons, that I know of. My grandma has been gone for 5 years, and I don't see anyone else but my mom, and she definitely doesn't get into that stuff. Maybe next year I will make the traditional St. Patrick's Day supper

Tonight, I'm making Chicken Fettucine Alfredo...garlic and chicken cooked in a little olive oil, then mix in some bell peppers (yellow this time) mushrooms, etc. Then add the whole cream and parmesan cheese, and cook until it's all melted, mmmm!

Miss Prissy....Change of plans, seeing as I had mashed sweet potatoes in the frig, I made sweet potato biscuits! But next time I will try cooking homemade biscuit dough for dumplings! thank you always!

That actually sounds really good.

We have to go to an awards banquet tonight (groan). It's at a fancy hotel so that means expensive. If we had a "foot stomping, pouting smiley" I'd use it right now.

Mmmmm. The pizza does sound good!

Redfeathers - If it's one of those catered affairs, watch out for the rubber chicken, rice pilaf, and steamed veggies. I can't tell you how many of those I've eaten over the years!

It's breakfast for dinner here. Hubby and daughter are off on a school trip so it's only my son and I tonight.

LOL!! We must sit together at workshops and trainings because that is standard fare everytime I go too, lol!!

I threw some seasoned fried in the oven and some shrimp in a pan...easy peasy...I need a vitamin too, so tired lately...probably just old age, I will be 50 this year, omg, lol!!!

No kidding. Now, what is that brown sauce they pour all over the rubber chicken, anyway? It's not anything familiar, or anything that I've ever made with chicken. Actually, the steamed veggies (if they're carrots and broccoli) aren't all that bad. In my former life, I was a video producer/director and we seemed to end up at all these trainings and workshops (you must have been there, which is why we've had the same rubber chicken). Anyway, I worked with a bunch of guys who never ate their veggies - so, I'd offer to trade the mystery chicken for veggies. I think I got the better end of the deal.

Banter - I've got to try the sweet potato baked fries! Sounds yummy and healthy! Do you have any special tricks?
